About Me
Away from my professional life, I have a range of interests and hobbies. Growing up, I dedicated my time to producing sport horses. With a limited budget and plenty of ambition, I would identify inexperienced horses to work with and compete, primarily in show jumping. As an amateur rider, I successfully jumped up to 1.30m level, most successfully with my now-retired Irish Sportshorse gelding, Syd. I also worked with a number of thoroughbreds, retraining them for success in second careers. I broke in a 3-year-old filly and educated her, selling her on as a show jumper. I also hunted another retired hurdler, who has since gone on to compete at 4* level in eventing. I have a deep sense of obligation to thoroughbreds about the importance of a good life after racing and hope to work with more horses in the future.

I also spend plenty of time painting and drawing. I have always enjoyed art and although I've not had formal training, I have put a great deal of effort into the improvement of my skills. I enjoy working with oil paints, pencil and pastels to produce portraits of horses and other animals.
